06Digital Africa

Shared railsfor a shared economy.

Before shared infrastructure, every institution built its own network. UmojaSwitch began by connecting 5 banks and 30 ATMs across Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Mwanza.

Today it interconnects 18 banks and other service providers through more than 1,000+ shared ATMs — infrastructure that lets a customer of one institution be served by many.
